Making a positive impact

Limiting our carbon footprint

Sustainable production has been part of our strategy for many years

First and foremost, of course, for the sake of the future and the world as we want to pass it on to future generations. But we have also seen how – by dealing with production more sustainably – we can also work more efficiently and flexibly.

Hundreds of solar panels on the roofs of our studios

We have large studios and lots of space. We therefore look critically at what we should and should not heat or cool. We recently renovated our entire climate system, which means we only have to put energy in a much more targeted manner in those workplaces where it is needed. We have hundreds of solar panels on the roofs of our studios, which also contribute significantly to limiting our carbon footprint.

We build all our sets modularly as much as possible

Another way to save money, gain flexibility and be more sustainable is our philosophy regarding set construction. We build all our sets modularly as much as possible. We use decor elements such as walls over and over again in different layouts and compositions and can provide them with other windows as desired. If we have to make something new, we build it so sturdy that this new decor piece also becomes part of the collection. This means we rarely have to throw anything away and we can reuse decor pieces over and over again.

In our VP studio we can build lifelike environments

Our most recent innovation also offers many advantages in the field of sustainable entrepreneurship. Not only for us but especially for our customers: virtual production. This revolutionary technique, which allows us to create any conceivable environment in 3D in the studio, not only offers many creative and operational advantages. It also ensures that concepts that previously had to be shot in distant countries can now simply be shot in Ede. In our VP studio, we can build lifelike environments, from a beach in South Africa to an oil rig in the North Sea. No more need to fly halfway around the world with an entire team and significant savings in CO2, time and budget!

We are constantly working on improving our services and, as far as we are concerned, this also includes thinking about how we can be even more sustainable.
